Artist Statement

I describe my design work as funky and eclectic. My goal is to bring the art side back into graphic design and to stray away from the minimalism we see in society today. I play with the use of complementary and triadic color palettes, as well as clever illustrations in my branding work. The strong contrast of the colors being used helps to bring boldness to the design work. I believe that with my knowledge of both fine art and design, as well as inspiration from Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and several other psychedelic era designers, I can help make advertising and branding work more creative and exciting to those around me. While pulling stylistic traits from retro design pieces and combining them with my own modern visual illustrations and ideas, my finished works give off a bold and vintage vibe.
