Artist Statement

My art is centered around the exploration of the relationship between the virtual and physical worlds, and my latest installation, the Triptych Interface, reflects this philosophy. Drawing inspiration from Transfiguration, the installation is designed to evoke a personal metamorphosis in the viewer. The triptych emulated the traditional altarpiece that consists of three panels in a sculptural form. This coupled with the light projection display creates an immersive experience that emulates the atmosphere of a formal ceremony location without imposing any belief set on the viewer. The torus energy field shape and space of the installation allows for individual entry and encourages the viewer to engage with the art on a personal level.

I am particularly fascinated by the intersection of quantum physics, computer programming, and spirituality, and my work is guided by the belief that our reality may be a simulation. Through my art, I seek to challenge the notion of objective reality and highlight the subjectivity of our individual experiences. Utilizing the quantum Bayesianism (QBism) theory, I deconstruct our perceptions of reality and emphasize the role of human imagination and computer algorithms in shaping our understanding of the world.

Although I employ cutting-edge technologies in my work, I remain rooted in traditional artistic methodologies and techniques. For me, virtual and conceptual workflows are important, but they must be translated into the physical world through hands-on work to come to life truly. By manifesting my virtual reality creations into physical objects, I showcase QBism as both the method and subject of my art and aim to create thought-provoking works that blur the lines between the virtual and physical realms
