JARREN SANDIDGE

Jarren Sandidge uses natural lighting in common spaces that play with shadows and highlights to illuminate interesting texture, motion, and dramatic facial expressions of unique subjects in various fashions. His style of fashion consists of loose-fitted garments of various sizes for the bottoms that are often paired with tighter garments on the torso. The work he produces includes many of his own personal qualities and flaws that are captured uncandid with soft highlights that reveal the subject and their garments, along with deep shadows that aid the dramatic effect. Jarren incorporates his style of fashion in the body of work to promote improvement in mental health and confidence in the viewer's overall length and width when wearing a style promoting elevation. Elevation is used in the looseness of the model's bottoms that grounds them with the Earth, dragging any fabric possible as a rejection to views of one's stature while the torso is given the effect of being driven to the sky. As an introvert and an artist, Jarren Sandidge found his outlet of expression and confidence through his artistic interest in fashion and visual art. He was inspired by the confidence of others in their garments and wanted to collaborate with people he found visually and fashionably pleasing of many heights that would and would not be typically accepted in the fashion world but own their own personal and unique look no matter their body type. Jarren feels as though the fashion world should be accessible and accepting of everyone and include unique individuals well into his work through their natural self-defining composure and his stealthy keen eye.
