Julia Mireles

B.F.A. Graphic Design

During my years of working as a graphic designer, I have discovered many things that I never thought were possible before. Logo designing has taught me how much I value my work and how passionate I am about it. Branding is a crucial aspect of my identity and lifestyle. It enables me to express myself and persuade people to appreciate what I do. Despite the challenges and mistakes I have made, I have learned that branding not only improves the appearance of a product but also creates a sense of unity in the art industry. Working in small companies has motivated me to design my personal merchandise items, such as crew necks, hats, and tote bags, to introduce my work to customers as wearable items. This is a unique way of presenting my work to the public since we often wear branded items without realizing it.

As a designer, I love using vibrant colors to make my designs more appealing. I always strive to use unique letterhead fonts in all my projects. As a designer and illustrator, I wanted to create a hand-drawn wave with texture that symbolizes "home" to me. Being away from home has made me appreciate the sense of home that I get from my work environment. I have taken pictures of various models posing with my products, and I want my audience to appreciate the value of my work and recognize my brand. This has pushed me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to express myself as an artist.
