While reading a book, I tend to imagine what the scenes would look like if they were illustrated. The aim of my illustrations is to share the imagery and emo

reading. I draw inspiration from a childhood novel that influenced my artistry, and I strive to bring its scenes to life through my illustrations. The art of storytelling through imagery has always captivated me, and the ability to convey a narrative through illustrations is remarkable. I take great pride in achieving this feat myself.

My artwork is deeply connected to and inspired by the novel The Book of the Dun Cow. The novel follows the journey of Chauntecleer, a rooster, as he navigates life and defends his home from dangerous antagonists. The novel draws inspiration from the fable of Chanticleer and the Fox, which is adapted from "The Nun's Priest's Tale" from Canterbury Tales. As an artist, I have always been captivated by animals, often using them as subjects in my work. This collection features a stunning cover illustration and fourteen additional pieces, each based on a specific scene from the novel and thoughtfully paired with the corresponding page. The pieces are seamlessly connected by a river design that pays homage to the river from the novel, guiding the eye through the collection in chapter order.
