When trying to discover yourself, one may look to the past. My fondest memories as a kid were of doodling characters from my favorite TV shows. I aim to evoke a similar sense of nostalgia, fondness, and personal connection. Not only do I use memories as subjects, but I also use cultural and pop culture references, keeping up with my habit of illustrating subjects from media. This also extends to food, another topic I end up often depicting for the same reasons. My style varies: lineless to focus on color to thick contour lines like that of old cartoons, simple cute forms to highly detailed realism, minimalistic to chaotic, and even abstract. This is because I often experiment, but one consistency is my use of bright colors. I believe colors help viewers create an emotional connection and attachment. I specialize with digital art because I believe it is a medium that is free from physical limitations but can make our most imaginative ideas into a reality. I am also open to exploring other mediums such as: sculpture, glassblowing, new media, and animation. As a graphic designer, not only do I want to find and share a part of myself; but I also help people find their identity through my designs. Whether it is websites, branding, packaging design, or more, the more I am designing, the more I am myself.
