We go through many metamorphoses throughout our lifetimes and consistently learn and grow. I want to use photography as a way to explore these changes visually. Instead of exclusively having still images, I use long exposures to capture the ephemerality of a moment. These particular images are meant to represent moments of great importance in my life.

As a way to retroactively capture these moments, I often use allegories for myself and other people in my artwork. In the recent body of photographs, a cat represents me as I am now, and a kitten represents my younger self. I included nature photography taken on mountain hikes to highlight the ups and downs of life and the rewarding sight once you finally make it up the hill. The images are meant to represent my journey in navigating through intense struggles, which have had a profound effect on making me who I am today.
