I have always believed in the saying "A picture is worth a thousand words" because everyone has their own interpretation of the story they can tell. I consider a lot of what people see on a screen or through a lens giving a whole new meaning to everything in the world. As they do this process of creating work on a screen or taking photographs, they make up their own stories. The unknown of these types of things draws me in as a graphic designer. With that, I strive to give photos stories through photography and take them to create illustrations as well. Through my work, I start with ideas and completed concepts, bringing them to life through illustrations, logo creations, or photography. My goal is to allow everyone the chance to tell who they are. The ability to do that in my line of work is with sketches, notes taken, and ideas given from others. I can provide branding for a company through logo creation. With the aspect of photography and illustration going hand in hand with my art, I take the inspiration from both to create my personal works and add life to my designs.
My career plan is always to be able to tell my and others' stories through my work. Learning skills both digitally and hands-on will give me that chance. I want the opportunity to create pieces that allow the viewer to have insight into what their works' true meaning is.
