Artist Statement
My work is deeply inspired by themes of identity, self-discovery, and the complexities of human emotions and psychology. Drawing influence from photography, the human form, feminism, abstract patterns, and vibrant colors, I seek to capture the essence of these
universal experiences. Through both realistic and abstract approaches, I explore the intricacies of how we navigate the world around us.
In my realistic pieces, the process begins with photographing individuals in compositions or environments that reflect their personalities. I am fascinated by the idea of freezing moments in time, focusing on the present rather than the future. Each image is an attempt to capture the raw feeling of being fully immersed in the here and now, bringing out a sense of nostalgia and relatability as if the viewer is witnessing a scene unfold in real time.
Looking ahead, I plan to expand my practice by focusing on strangers, capturing their moments and stories from the world around us. I aim to deepen the connection between the viewer and the subject, allowing for a more universal exploration of the human experience of living in the moment. Through this evolution, I hope to continue invoking a sense of shared emotion and connection, offering a window into the lives of others.
