My design philosophy encompasses a variety of mediums and skills that I have developed over my years of creating. Digital drawing and graphic design were my initial introductions to becoming a designer and understanding a career in the arts. While pursuing this in college, I also discovered a passion for pottery and creating 3-D pieces. My body of work includes a combination of cohesive 2-D and 3-D designs, showcasing my ability to intertwine these skills and express my unique creative voice.

To stay current with trends in styles and aesthetics, I regularly research imagery and artists on social media and Pinterest. I incorporate my own design elements and interpretations into my pieces. This approach allows me to remain informed about the contemporary artistic landscape, which I then translate into a unique experience for my viewers—one that inspires and pleases them aesthetically.

A guiding philosophy and goal in my work is to create pieces that draw people in and encourage them to incorporate my art into their homes. A home is a sacred space, and selecting artwork to complement one’s environment is an intimate experience. Since a home is where we spend much of our time, it should evoke a sense of safety and comfort. Therefore, I consider it an honor if one of my pieces is chosen to fill that space. The way one curates their environment significantly impacts their mental, physical, and spiritual well-being, and my design philosophy aims to contribute positively to that process.

In line with this philosophy, I plan to create a living work environment featuring vases, ceramic works, framed prints, home decor elements, and sculptures. All of these pieces will be designed to complement one another stylistically, illustrating to the viewer how my work can create an inviting atmosphere. Although I typically gravitate toward neutral tones and mauves, I intend to execute a blue and white color scheme that embodies the clean, delicate, and feminine aesthetic of my creations.
