My art focuses on the emotional aspects behind human behavior. I am particularly interested in discussing topics like mental health, familial trauma, and societal issues.

I enjoy combining the human figure with elements of nature, such as plants and animals, to create a surreal foundation for my work.

Interestingly, the lack of figurative representation can sometimes convey an alternative point of view of the world. In my paintings, I often depict the absence of life through inanimate objects to illustrate the impact of human presence. Currently, I am exploring this concept by incorporating items such as streetlights, stop signs, and gas pumps within my pieces.

I strive to express a sense of sarcasm and humor through the use of common idioms in my titles, the portrayal of absurd subjects, and the incorporation of unexpected color combinations that give a playful energy to the pieces.

My goal is to convey emotions or situations that are difficult to articulate, such as fear, love, dependence, strength, and guilt. Sometimes, mere words fall short of capturing the full context. Emotions have driven human behavior since the beginning of time, which I find fascinating to explore through my art. Currently, my biggest inspirations are Jennifer Packer, George Rouy, and Yong-chul Kim.
