Jeri Alexander

As an artist, I am primarily interested in making work that has representational and symbolic elements. In the method aspect, I gravitate towards assemblage, ephemeral, and found object influences. I have always been drawn to the seedy underbelly of the world and I seek to make art that reflects that interest by unsettling the viewer. It is important that I explore different types of media when creating, and I want my work to be as diverse in material as it is in the subject.  As a keeper of many collections, I view the things I create in the same way; a collection of my thoughts and experiences.
